Nervi debuts in the Fashion Week calendar with a collection of couture illustrations. Fashion from another dimension.

The story so far
From planet Earth comes the latest news: dance floors, parties and grand galas are still forbidden. No dancing. No going out. No parties. No red carpet. No parties till dawn. A treacherous virus has put the entire human race in check. The people of the night, with their divine muses, are locked indoors. So bad.
Nervi, the Milanese brand that celebrates the night, has imagined an astral journey, with a soft and fun landing on other planets, where you can dream of living free, of going out, of dancing. Between sci-fi and dream, between suggestions of Hollywood divas from the 1940s and the glamour of the Ziegfeld Follies, Fritz Lang and retro-futurism, Nervi dresses women from another world, his super aliens, with his flamboyant charge - and delicious humour. And since “there’s life on Mars”, and what a life, his spacegirls don’t choose just any ready-to-wear, but real couture.
Inspired by the illustrations of Renè Gruau and Antonio Lopez, stylist Valentina Nervi has thus designed models that will then be the basis on which the customers - this time from Earth - will create their made-to-measure dress, by appointment only, just as they used to do with haute couture.
Nervi presents her GalaxyDisco Collection: twenty superwomen, dressed in amazing looks, whose execution will be entrusted to the best Made in Italy tailoring workshops. This is how Valentina Nervi - trained in couture and a passionate dj - and her husband and partner Nicolò Lombardi - director and artistic director - have reacted in such a tense moment for fashion: with an unusual collection, which finds in fantasy and creativity its will to be there.

The Invitation
The invitation to the presentation will arrive both via a link and physically. The physical one is combine by the Nervision: a view-master, a stereoscope visor as used in the 1950s, with a diskette containing some looks. Attached to the silver, space-aged Nervision will be an invitation to a virtual museum where ufo-couture has “landed” for the occasion. An invitation that also serves to look at fashion from another perspective, reminding us that it is a dream, a journey, a magic.

And the Haute Couture aliens are pure magic: in silk chiffon, with capes with marabou edging, draping and bodices with Swarovski crystals on heart-shaped bustier tops; vinyl fabric longdresses and evening-gowns in gold-laminated silk and sexy mini-dresses with cobalt-coloured feathers. And finally, mini-dresses and jumpsuits that sparkle like a disco ball of biconical crystals, and red carpet looks with ruffles of hand-pleated organza. There’s a starwoman waiting in the sky…
